Now to explain the title of my blog, “the view from down here.” Ever since I can remember, I’ve been the smallest person in everything I do. Whether it’s sitting on the very end of the first row in class pictures or refusing to be in the middle of crowded areas for the fear of being stepped on, I’ve always been self conscious about my height. Now I’m not saying I wish I was model-height material, but a simple 5 foot 2 but would be ideal.
Either way, I’ve come to realize that this isn’t going to happen and I’ve definitely accepted it. I’ve also realized that being short really does have its perks: I can easily maneuver my tiny self through downtown Toronto, falling to the ground really isn’t that much of a fall, and spending less on kids’ shoes is always a plus.
Try and make the best out of any situation.
19 Reasons Why Being Short Is The Best
Finally, the time has come when I’ve grown a pair and took the step to create a blog. So a little bit about me: I am currently completing my fourth and last year at the University of Guelph-Humber as a Media Studies and Communications student. I have specialized in Public Relations and I am currently working towards obtaining a PR-related internship during my final semester. Although school is a bit hectic as of now, I enjoy simple things such as taking photographs, going on nature walks, and travelling.
Throughout this new blog-writing experience, I hope to be able to connect with readers on some of my past experiences, future endeavours, both career-related and personally, as well as receive feedback and input from readers that share similar interests and experiences. Hope you enjoy!
